Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in multi-entity environments.
• Strong knowledge of New York employment law (FMLA, PFL) and compliance.
• Experience building or formalizing scalable HR processes.
• Support for multiple locations, business units, or legal entities.
• Excellent employee relations and conflict-resolution skills.
• Benefits administration and open enrollment experience.
• Ability to work with varied employee populations (hourly to professional).
• Strong HR compliance, documentation, and policy knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Help build and formalize a comprehensive HR function across multiple entities.
• Develop scalable HR processes, policies, and employee resources.
• Serve as SME on NY employment laws, regulations, and compliance.
• Determine when to engage legal counsel or external resources.
• Lead benefits administration and open enrollment planning.
• Drive proactive employee relations initiatives and performance management.
• Support onboarding, transfers, and workforce administration across locations.
• Partner with leadership to improve structure, experience, and compliance.
• Support recruiting and workforce planning during growth periods.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR infrastructure and engagement.
