Job summary

Firefly Recruiting seeks an experienced HR Director to lead HR operations for a large acute care hospital in Chicago. This leadership role collaborates with the CEO and executive team to shape workforce strategy and drive organizational performance.

You will manage labor relations, compliance, engagement, and retention, ensuring regulatory readiness and strong partnerships with hospital leaders to support patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading HR in acute care hospital or healthcare setting.
• Strong union and labor relations experience required.
• Extensive employee relations experience including investigations, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
• Ability to partner with hospital executives and department leaders.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and wage/hour regulations.
• Experience supporting regulatory and accreditation readiness.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of related healthcare HR experience.
