We are working with a healthcare organization seeking an experienced HR Director to lead human resources operations and serve as a strategic partner to organizational leadership.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional with a strong healthcare background who is comfortable navigating employee relations, workforce policies, organizational changes, and a complex healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee human resources programs and initiatives supporting employees across the organization.
- Partner with executive leadership on employee relations, workforce planning, organizational changes, and HR strategy.
- Oversee recruitment, employee development, training, promotions, and other talent-related initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support related to employee relations, workplace concerns, disputes, and grievances.
- Recommend appropriate disciplinary actions and ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
- Support organizational leadership with the people-related implications of policies, programs, and organizational changes.
- Analyze job responsibilities and support job classification and evaluation initiatives.
- Develop and maintain effective personnel policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Stay current on employment laws, wage and hour regulations, and other applicable HR requirements.
- Partner with leadership and department managers to address workforce needs and employee concerns.
- Support employee engagement, development, and retention initiatives.
- Provide HR guidance to leaders across various departments and functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of healthcare HR experience required.
- Previous HR leadership or Director-level experience strongly preferred.
- Healthcare/hospital HR experience required.
- Union experience required.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, and workforce policies.
- Knowledge of federal and state wage and hour regulations.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Strong understanding of employment practices and HR compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with executive leadership, managers, and employees at all levels.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive employee matters.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term initiatives with day-to-day HR needs.
