Saint Louis Crisis Nursery is seeking an HR Director to lead people-first initiatives in a nonprofit environment in Saint Louis, MO. You will partner with leaders to shape culture, align HR programs with the mission, and ensure compliant, thoughtful human resource practices across the employee lifecycle.

This hands-on leader will balance strategic vision with practical execution, manage compensation and benefits, and advance employee engagement, development, and retention while championing

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive HR experience including leadership or management of HR programs.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
• Experience across employee relations, performance management, recruitment, benefits, compliance, and HR operations.
• Nonprofit or mission-driven experience is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, relationship‑building, and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on execution in a small, collaborative environment.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, or SHRM‑SCP certification preferred

Saint Louis Crisis Nursery is dedicated to protecting children and strengthening families by providing a safe haven for children and support for families during times of crisis. We’re looking for an HR Director who is passionate about people and wants to play a meaningful role in advancing that mission.

This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for an HR professional who can think strategically, build strong relationships, and roll up their sleeves to get things done. The Director, Human Resources will partner closely with organizational leaders to strengthen culture, develop leaders, support employee engagement, and ensure thoughtful, compliant HR practices across the employee lifecycle.

• $75,000–$100,000 salary range
