Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York seeks a Data Risk & Governance Associate within the Human Resources and Employee Experience Chief Data Office to strengthen HR data governance and controls.

You will partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Controls, and Technology to implement data management procedures, training, and reporting, using metrics and dashboards to drive remediation and governance updates. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, eager to learn, with interest in data, risk and HR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, HR, Information Systems, Data/Analytics, Risk or related field.
• 2–5 years in data governance/data management, controls, risk, audit readiness, or compliance roles; HR/workforce data preferred.
• Ability to turn guidance into organized, repeatable processes (checklists, trackers, templates).

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of data management frameworks, procedures, and training across HR data domains.
• Build governance materials and prepare insights for leadership and governance councils.
• Coordinate governance processes end-to-end with stakeholders and ensure timely submissions.
• Monitor data management processes, controls, and policy adherence; document improvement opportunities.
• Execute Alteryx workflows to transform and prepare metrics for Tableau dashboards.
• Trace records and support analysis for metric validation and governance reporting.
• Prepare audit-ready evidence and support follow-ups as needed.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Controls, and Technology to track questions and decisions.
• Support HR Data Ownership Program by maintaining data ownership trackers.
• Receive coaching and grow ownership of dashboards and governance artifacts.
