Job summary

Ohio Machinery Co. is seeking an HR Data Analyst to collect, compile, and analyze HR data to support management reporting and analytics.

The role maintains HRIS data integrity, supports compensation reporting, and creates documentation and training for HR databases and tools. The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of HR reporting/data experience, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with Dayforce HCM and SharePoint.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, statistics, computer science, mathematics, business, healthcare or related field.
  • 4–7 years of HR reporting/data experience or equivalent.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CCP or CEBS preferred.
  • Experience with Dayforce HCM is a plus.
  • Understanding of HR functions, reporting, and record-keeping requirements.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal HR laws compliance.
  • Advanced Excel skills: Pivot Tables, VLookup/XLookup, If/Then, etc.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint, HRIS and database software, and report writing and queries.

  • Deliver data analysis and insights on HR projects and metrics.
  • Stay informed on HR regulations affecting compensation practices.

Job description

The HR Data Analyst at Ohio Machinery Co. is responsible for collecting, compiling, and analyzing HR data to support management reporting and effective HR analytics. This role also maintains HRIS data integrity and contributes to compensation reporting, documentation, and system support for HR databases and tools.

Responsibilities
  • Collect, compile, and analyze HR data, metrics, and statistics to support management reporting.
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and prepare routine and ad hoc reports to support the HR department.
  • Maintain reporting and compensation metrics, including compensation measurement tied to HR reporting.
  • Participate in compensation surveys and analyze survey results.
  • Prepare and present compensation reports and recommendations.
  • Provide support for HR databases and systems, including creating training tutorials, job aids, and other documentation for employee training.
  • Troubleshoot services and provide technical assistance and training to support effective HR system utilization.
  • Assist with rollout activities and communications related to new systems and initiatives.
  • Deliver analytical support and data analysis on HR projects and HR metrics.
  • Stay informed about legislation and regulations that affect compensation practices.
Requirements
  • Must be located within a commutable distance to Broadview Heights, OH.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver results aligned with a Human Resources customer service philosophy.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to multitask, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Healthcare, or other related fields.
  • Four to seven years of work experience in HR Reporting and Data experience or an equivalent field.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CCP, or CEBS preferred.
  • Experience using Dayforce HCM is a plus.
  • Understanding of Human Resources functions, reporting, and record-keeping requirements.
  • Knowledge to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws involving all areas of HR.
  • Extensive knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel functions, including Pivot Tables, Auto-filtering, Conditional Formatting, Text-to-Columns, Data Validations, VLookup/XLookup, Count-if, Graphing, and If/Then formulas.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint or other web design programs, internet research skills, HRIS and database software, and report writing and queries.
