Job summary

OSI Group’s Tipton plant seeks an HR Generalist to oversee employee relations, labor relations, staffing, EEO/AAP, benefits and safety programs in a union environment. You will provide direction and counsel on HR aspects of plant operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating recruitment and selection, maintaining HR/benefit files, enrolling employees in benefits via HRIS, supporting policy education, handling terminations, training, investigations, and processing HRIS transactions.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in union environment.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• Experience with HRIS and HR software.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle employee records with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Recruitment & Selection activities with managers and agencies.
• Maintain HR and benefit files, enroll employees in benefits via HRIS.
• Educate employees and management on company policies.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• Handle employee terminations and explain rights and benefits.
• Provide training materials to employees.
• Support investigations and union grievance meetings.
• Process HRIS transactions for hires, terminations, promotions and other changes.
• Administer FMLA/ADA leaves and unemployment claims.
• Maintain confidential employee records and comply with HR processes.
