Job summary

Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care seeks an HR Coordinator to support the Dayton and Cincinnati campuses, administering daily HR tasks while ensuring compliance and compassionate, patient-centered service. The role requires travel between sites and close collaboration with managers to align on staffing, payroll basics, and benefits programs.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management.
• Minimum 1 year HR experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with HR metrics.
• Strong employee relations skills.
• Recruitment experience not required.
• Knowledge of HR databases.
• Data entry and management skills.
• Basic medical office/health agency knowledge.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic payroll processing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR contact for Dayton & Cincinnati locations.
• Travel between Dayton and Cincinnati as needed.
• Implement HR strategies and initiatives.
• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands or issues.
• Develop and maintain onboarding processes for new hires.
• Partner in recruitment and staffing decisions.
• Support business needs through development and engagement of staff.
• Monitor HR strategies, systems, and procedures across the organization.
• Oversee and manage performance appraisal systems.
• Maintain pay plans and benefits programs.
• Assess training needs and monitor programs.
• Report to management and provide support as requested.
• Ensure legal compliance with policies and regulations including confidentiality, unemployment, workers' comp, and leave of absence.
• Maintain HR records, invoices, and files.
