Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is seeking a detail‑oriented HR Coordinator to join our HR Shared Services team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, supporting employees, and contributing to a collaborative HR environment.

As an HR Coordinator, you will work closely with HR Business Partners to support daily operations of Human Resources, ensure data accuracy, support recruitment processes, and serve as a primary point of contact for onboarding and employee

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of experience in a business office or administrative support role.
• Experience with data management, data administration, and/or information systems.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products (Teams, Word, Excel).
• Experience with HR information systems such as Workday or similar.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contracts and Workday onboarding information for new employees.
• Maintain personnel files in accordance with guidelines and entry accuracy.
• Coordinate recruitment processes: create job postings, update applicant statuses, and ensure compliance.
• Assist with employee offboarding and respond to inquiries.
• Run system reports for budget, payroll, and periodic HR activities.
