The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH) seeks a Human Resources Coordinator focused on Benefits & Leave Administration. This role supports day-to-day benefits management, leave tracking, workers’ compensation, and HR operations under the Senior HR Manager.

Responsibilities include enrollment processing, open enrollment support, onboarding, records maintenance, and confidential handling of information. Strong HRIS and communication skills are essential in a mission-driven cultural nonprofit.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
2+ years in HR, benefits, leaves, payroll, or related service environment.
Experience with HRIS data entry, records maintenance, and retrieval.
Experience handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

Support benefits program administration and enrollment processing.
Assist with leave administration and related notifications/returns-to-work information.
Support workers’ compensation processes and OSHA records.
Assist with new employee onboarding and HRIS data entry.
Provide backup support for HR Assistants and department phone coverage.
Engage in employee communications and wellness/engagement activities.
