Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field required.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in an HR role, preferably generalist; hiring, payroll, and benefits experience preferred.

Facil North America is seeking an experienced HR Coordinator for our North American Headquarters in Independence, Ohio.

Facil North America, Inc., is seeking an experienced Human Resources Coordinator for our North American Headquarters in Independence, Ohio. Position Summary:

Our Human Resources Coordinators are responsible for HR administration as well as compliance with labor law at the federal, state, and local level for multiple HR functions, including but not limited to hiring and onboarding, payroll and time-and-attendance, and benefits. Additionally, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day HR operations and support. This position reports directly to the HR Manager, North America and works closely with Finance and branch operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the recruitment process to ensure sourcing of the best candidates; this includes, but is not limited to, scheduling interviews, setting up assessments, and communicating feedback to candidates.
  • Coordinate the payroll process and update the payroll system as appropriate; oversee and ensure compliance within the time & attendance system.
  • Provide reporting both within department and as needed to support other business units; perform document management and maintenance (e.g., personnel files, etc.).
  • Actively support open enrollment and onboarding of new employees to Facil benefits; assist employees with benefits questions and work closely with brokers/benefits providers as needed.
  • Assist in employee onboarding; act as liaison for existing employees.
  • Support the HR manager on various projects and initiatives, including safety and compliance across all branch locations.
  • Attend and actively participate in internal meetings as required (staff meetings, sales meetings, etc.); schedule meetings with clients as appropriate.
  • Actively support and serve as a role model for company mission and core values.
  • Meet continuing education requirements to maintain all applicable licenses.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field required; Master’s degree desired, but not required; HR certification(s) a plus.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a Human Resources role required, preferably in a generalist role; hiring, payroll, and benefits experience preferred; OSHA experience a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; proven track record of building and maintaining relationships while maintaining appropriate levels of confidentiality.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills; able to create and deliver presentations via multiple mediums to individuals as well as varied groups of people.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities; ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex information and apply to practical situations.
  • Proven history of personal initiative, efficiency, attention to detail, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and performing quality work within deadlines with or without supervision.
  • PC proficiency required, including MS Office. Knowledge of other industry-specific or custom software a plus.
