Facil North America, Inc. is seeking a Master Data Analyst for our North American Headquarters in Independence, Ohio. The analyst will monitor data quality, ensure accurate master data across its lifecycle, and provide guidance and training to sites and departments.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Intelligence Manager, you will collaborate with Supply Chain Operations, Purchasing and other departments, promoting data integrity and continuous improvement. A competitive benefits package is included.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field required; Master’s degree a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years in master data, data maintenance, SAP master data activities or related operational environment.
  • Working knowledge of SAP master data and integration-related topics.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools; experience with project or data follow-up tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect data inconsistencies and root causes.

Position Summary:

Our Master Data Analysts are responsible for building and applying a solid understanding of the SAP data model as well as maintaining accurate, complete, and reliable master data throughout its lifecycle. The primary focus of the Master Data Analyst will monitor data quality, identify deviations, follow up with corrective actions, and ensure information is ready and maintained according to established standards. The analyst serves as the first point of contact for operational master data questions and provides guidance and basic training to applicable sites and departments. This position reports directly to the Supply Chain Intelligence Manager and works closely with Supply Chain Operations, Purchasing, and other relative departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Master Data Operations and Maintenance
  • Build and apply a solid understanding of the SAP data model and the use of data in applicable functional processes.
  • Maintain master data throughout its lifecycle by creating, changing, validating, correcting and retiring data in line with defined processes and standards.
  • Take ownership for the quality, completeness and correctness of master data and act with pride in keeping data reliable for operational use.
  • Execute and follow up day-to-day data maintenance activities and ensure that requests are handled accurately, consistently and within confirmed timelines.
  • Perform required checks before operational release and promote a "first time right" way of working in daily data maintenance.
  • Act as a first point of contact for operational master data questions and escape complex, structural or non-standard issues in a timely manner.
  • Communicate proactively, clearly and constructively with cross-functional stakeholders, regarding missing input, data issues, timelines, priorities and required actions.
Data Quality and Process Improvement
  • Monitor data quality through established checks and reports, identify deviations or recurring issues and follow up corrective actions with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Analyze data and perform regular data quality checks, including checks before critical business activities, to verify and help safeguard that data is accurate, consistent, complete and up to date.
  • Identify recurring data issues, investigate root causes, follow up corrective actions and propose concrete preventive measures.
  • Contribute to the improvement of data maintenance processes by identifying workable improvement opportunities, discussing them with the Supply Chain Intelligence Manager or project team, and helping to implement approved actions.
  • Document data maintenance processes, work instructions and responsibilities to ensure consistent ways of working across departments and entities.
  • Provide specific and actionable guidance to sites and departments regarding correct data maintenance activities and the application of defined standards.
  • Apply a continuous improvement mindset and challenge incomplete, incorrect or unclear master data requests before processing them to protect data integrity.
  • Explore applicable SAP capabilities and tools for master data maintenance, validation and follow-up and share clear and actionable findings with the team.
  • Provide user guidance, issue resolution and basic training related to applicable master data processes and tools.
  • Stay informed about applicable developments and best practices in master data maintenance and apply these where appropriate.
  • Perform additional master data, reporting, analysis, process coordination, operational follow-up or improvement-related tasks when assigned by the Supply Chain Intelligence Manager and aligned with the purpose of the function.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field required; Master’s degree is a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in master data, data maintenance, SAP master data activities, business process coordination or a related operational environment.
  • Working knowledge of SAP master data and integration-related topics, or strong willingness to further develop this knowledge within the assigned scope.
  • Practical working knowledge of applicable SAP/S4HANA modules and master data tools, or the ability to build this knowledge quickly.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools; experience with project or data follow-up tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect data inconsistencies, understand root causes and define effective corrective actions.
  • Explore applicable SAP capabilities and tools for master data maintenance, validation and follow-up and share clear and actionable findings with the team.
  • Provide user guidance, issue resolution and basic training related to applicable master data processes and tools.
