The Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role in supporting the people and culture strategy of Fameccanica North America. As the organization's day-to-day HR leader, this position provides guidance and support to employees and managers across all areas of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee development, employee relations, compliance, and engagement initiatives. The HR Generalist helps create a positive employee experience while ensuring HR programs and practices support operational excellence and business growth.
This role requires a proactive, resourceful professional who can build trust, influence decision-making, and navigate a multinational business environment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with U.S. leadership and international partners to deliver consistent, compliant, and employee-focused HR solutions that support organizational success.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Partner with hiring managers to identify workforce needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Coordinate pre-employment screenings, background checks, and onboarding activities.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure a positive onboarding experience that promotes successful integration into the organization.
Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers regarding workplace concerns, performance matters, and policy interpretation.
- Assist leaders in addressing employee performance, attendance, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct investigations and maintain confidential documentation as needed.
- Promote a positive and respectful work environment that aligns with company values and culture.
HR Compliance & Administration
- Maintain employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data in compliance with company standards and applicable laws.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Administer I-9 compliance, employee handbook acknowledgments, required notices, and training records.
- Support audits, reporting requirements, and compliance initiatives.
Training, Development & Performance Management
- Coordinate employee training and development programs to support individual and organizational growth.
- Assist with performance review processes and manager coaching initiatives.
- Support succession planning, leadership development, and employee engagement strategies.
- Track and report on training completion and performance management metrics.
Benefits & Payroll Support
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding benefits and payroll-related inquiries.
- Coordinate benefit enrollment activities, employee communications, and open enrollment administration.
- Partner with payroll and benefit vendors to ensure accurate employee data and timely issue resolution.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Support and plan employee and company events.
- Assist with employee communications and culture-building activities.
- Participate in HR process improvements and special projects that support business objectives.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or 4 – 6 years of progressive Human Resources experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- Human Resources experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment preferred.
- Experience supporting a multinational organization is a plus.
- Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and employee relations.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications. Paycor experience is a plus!
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to collaborate across cultural and geographic boundaries within a global business environment.
This position is based on-site in West Chester, Ohio, and routinely works within both office and manufacturing settings. The role requires regular interaction with employees on the production floor and adherence to all safety policies and procedures. Occasional travel may be required to support business operations, training activities, or corporate meetings.
