Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an HR consultant to tackle complex problems in human resources with general supervision while developing advanced skills and increasing independence.

You will apply fundamental HR concepts, analyze issues, prioritize tasks, negotiate expectations, and present information to groups, facilitating discussions across all levels of staff. Travel to other locations is required (5-15%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or relevant major and 1 year of experience
• Duke Energy internship or co-op experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to deal effectively with all levels of employees and management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and negotiate diverse customer expectations
• Demonstrated presentation skills and ability to facilitate large and small groups
• A relevant master’s degree can be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree and one year of experience
• Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
• Travel requirements: 5–15%
