Job summary

Bechtel is looking for an HR Communications Specialist to work closely with our Human Resources, Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards teams to communicate effectively across the organization. This role sits at the intersection of people strategy and storytelling—translating HR priorities into communications that build trust, drive action and reflect who we are.

The right candidate is a strong writer with sound judgment and a steady hand.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations or a related field and 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in HR, employee or change communications within a large, global organization is preferred.
• Proficient with internal communications tools (SharePoint, Viva Engage, Teams, intranet CMS, Canva).

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR and communications to develop and deliver plans supporting people priorities.
• Support change communications for organizational shifts, policy updates and process changes.
• Develop content and coordinate campaigns for benefits, Total Rewards and enrollment.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on employer branding and recruitment marketing.
• Draft and edit communications for HR leaders, including emails and town halls.
