Job summary

Fortis Solutions Group is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner for our Merced, CA facility. This in-office role supports HR processes, workforce planning, hiring, and onboarding, with occasional travel to Napa, Paso Robles, Santa Fe Springs, and corporate offices.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in a similar role within manufacturing, a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, and HR certification is highly desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in HR, Business, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive HR experience; generalist or HRBP preferred.
• HR certification (PHR/SHRM-CP) preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in a multi-site, manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR business partner to plant leadership on workforce planning and staffing needs.
• Lead end-to-end onboarding for new hires and manage employee relations across sites.
• Oversee investigations and ensure compliant, timely outcomes; advise on disciplinary actions.
• Provide strategic HR support and partner with Talent Acquisition to drive proactive staffing and upskilling.
• Travel up to 30% to support multiple locations and corporate office as needed.
