Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health is seeking an HR Business Partner to align business objectives with employees and management within a designated client base. The role acts as a consultant on human resource issues and provides strategic HR support to managers.

You will counsel employees and management on relations issues, conduct investigations, and guide day-to-day performance management, coaching and development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of HR Generalist experience.
• PHR/SPHR or HR certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides HR consultation and support to designated client base across staffing, compensation, benefits, training and employee relations.
• Counsels employees and management on employee relations issues and conducts investigations to resolve issues per employment law.
• Delivers day-to-day performance management guidance to management including coaching, counseling, and career development.
• Works with management to improve work relationships, morale, productivity and retention.
• Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
• Advises on client restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
• Ensures disciplinary actions follow HR policies and are communicated appropriately with rights observed.
• Coordinates termination processes including documentation, wage payout, benefits and legal requirements.

About the Job:

As a strategic partner, the Business Partner aligns business objectives with employees and management in designated client base. The Business Partner serves as a consultant to management on Human Resource related issues.

What You’ll Do:

• Provides HR consultation and support to designated client base using knowledge of various human resource functions, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training and employee relations to provide tactical HR support to managers.

• Counsels' employees and management regarding employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations to bring issue to a reasonable resolution that is consistent with sound employee relations practices and employment law.

• Provides day to day performance management guidance to management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

• Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.

• Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation.

• Provides guidance and input on client base restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.

• Ensures that the formal disciplinary action process is followed using the appropriate HR policies and guidelines and that actions are communicated appropriately, and the rights of all participants are observed.

• Coordinates all activities related to termination of employment including documentation, wage payout, benefit information, security, and all legal requirements. Is present with manager during actual release of employee as needed. May represent EHS at unemployment claims hearings.

Who You Are:

• Education:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of HR Generalist experience required. Certification/Licensure: PHR, SPHR or HR certificate preferred.
