Job summary

Tri-County Head Start in Waterloo, IA, is seeking a Human Resources Associate to support the HR Director and foster a positive, efficient workplace. This role serves as the first point of contact for HR functions and plays a key role in recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, records management, compliance, and customer service while promoting the organization's mission and culture.

Associate's degree in HR, Business, or related field is required; a Bachelor's is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification may substitute for degree requirement when combined with relevant HR experience.
• Experience in ADP or similar HRIS system preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Human Resources Associate supports the Human Resources Director in creating a positive, efficient, and employee-centered workplace.
• This position serves as the first point of contact for many HR functions and plays a key role in recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, records management, compliance, and customer service while promoting Tri-County Head Start’s mission, vision, core values, and culture.
