Job summary

Brookfield Asset Management Inc. is seeking an Associate, Human Resources in New York to support the HR function for the Private Wealth business.

You will work closely with the Senior HR Business Partner, handling onboarding through offboarding, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-touch HR services in a fast-paced environment. The role covers employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition support, and HR operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of progressive HR experience; financial services or professional services a plus.
• Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a contact for employee questions, ensuring HR practices comply with laws and policies.
• Support performance reviews and talent development initiatives.
• Assist compensation reviews and benefits administration.
• Support recruiting efforts, interviews, offers, and candidate experience.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires and departures.
• Handle U.S. visa applications, renewals, and compliance tracking.
• Maintain HRIS records and participate in cross-functional HR projects.
