The Dixon Group, proudly based in Chestertown, MD, is seeking an HR Assistant to support a growing HR team and promote our culture. You will handle day-to-day HR administration, onboarding/offboarding, file maintenance in HRIS, and assist in benefits, training, and events.

Qualifications

• Requires 2–4 years in customer support, HR assistant, clerical, or administrative roles.
• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred in HR/Business.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with discretion handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level HR administrative support and calendar management for leadership.
• Maintain confidential employee files in HRIS and physical records.
• Coordinate onboarding/offboarding, ID badges, and password resets.
• Plan and execute internal company events and engagement activities.
• Support benefits administration, timekeeping, leave, safety, and training programs.
• Assist with HR initiatives like handbooks, new software, and training rollout.
• Respond to inquiries and provide backup coverage for Reception.
