Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Fort Lauderdale Airport-Cruise Port is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support HR processes across the organization. The role covers onboarding, benefits administration, policy implementation and employee relations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, and experience with Microsoft Office. Hospitality experience and 1 year HR exposure are preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field required or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.
• Experience in HR processes such as onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, and recruitment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assists in administering HR plans and procedures for all personnel; helps develop policies and maintain handbook.
• Processes documents through payroll and insurance providers for accurate records and deductions.
• Conducts new-employee onboarding; administers pre-employment tests; conducts reference checks.
• Participates in staff meetings and attends seminars; supports training and development efforts.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
• Handles employee inquiries and provides customer service to staff.
