Job summary

Adams Outdoor Advertising (AOA) is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support the HR Generalist, HR Manager, and CHRO. This role provides administrative and operational support across recruitment, onboarding, records management, benefits, compliance, and employee services.

The HR Assistant helps maintain confidential records, respond to employee inquiries, and assist with benefits administration and HR projects, while delivering excellent service to employees and management.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years administrative, HR, or related office experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support for all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, leave administration, compliance, and employee services.
• Assist with recruiting activities by posting positions, scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communications, conducting pre-employment screenings, and supporting onboarding for new hires.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, process personnel changes, prepare employment-related documentation, and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, payroll, leave programs, and general HR processes.
• Support benefits administration activities, including enrollments, life event changes, open enrollment, and communication with employees and benefit vendors.
• Assist with leave administration by tracking requests, collecting documentation, maintaining records, and coordinating with employees and managers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws by maintaining documentation, supporting audits, and assisting with verification and retention requirements.
• Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, training programs, recognition activities, and HR-sponsored events and programs.
• Generate HR reports, maintain spreadsheets and tracking logs, and assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives.
