HR Assistant - Hybrid

The HR Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition functions. This role is responsible for coordinating recruiting activities, conducting initial candidate outreach, maintaining HR systems and records, acting as a backup to benefits functions, and supporting HR operations and reporting.
Talent Acquisition Support
- Assist the Talent Acquisition Lead with recruiting coordination, candidate communications, and hiring process administration.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and interview teams.
- Review and screen resumes, and conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and interest.
- Send candidate assessments, track completion status, and communicate next steps.
- Maintain applicant tracking records and ensure timely movement of candidates through the recruitment process.
- Support and participate in onboarding for new hires as needed.
Operations Support
- Maintain HRIS system and ATS records and generate standard or ad hoc reports.
- Identify and implement efficiencies and automation opportunities for core HR processes.
- Maintain employee electronic personnel files; conduct periodic audits to ensure completeness and compliance.
- Provide support for Organizational Services tasks and/or special projects.
- Serve as a backup to facilitate Open Enrollment, Benefits onboarding, Flyte administration and other benefits related projects.
- Assist with Wellness/Outreach Committee follow-up items, including meeting minutes, scheduling, and flyer creation.
- Responsible for the preparation and submission of annual compliance reports and documentation.
- Process employee status changes such as promotions, terminations, and leave requests.
- Create and maintain spreadsheets and tracking tools for HR reporting.
- Assist with benefits system administration, including open enrollment and employee inquiries.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competencies
Technical
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Interest and aptitude for technology and creating efficient systems.
- Experience with ATS and HRIS Software preferred.

- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in HR or similar combination of education and experience – preferred.
- aPHR, PHR, or SHRM‑CP certification – a plus.

Starting Hourly Range
$25.00 - $32.00
