Job summary

The Nevada Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) seeks a Human Resource Analyst 2 to be located in the HR office in Carson City, NV. The incumbent reports to the Human Resource Officer 3 and will oversee division-wide training, onboarding, and employee development efforts.

Duties include reviewing policies, addressing employee relations, disciplinary actions, grievance responses, and supporting executive management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in public administration or related field with two years of professional personnel experience.
Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
Experience with recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, employee development, and policy interpretation.
Ability to plan and implement recruitment and examination activities.

Responsibilities

Create and manage division-wide training and onboarding efforts.
Manage ongoing employee development for the division.
Review and maintain division personnel policies and procedures.
Handle employee relations including disciplinary actions and grievance responses.
Assist Division executive management, supervisors, and staff.
Perform journey-level HR work in classification, compensation, recruitment, and policy development.
