Job summary

Virginia Department of Corrections is seeking a Human Resource Analyst at Beaumont Correctional Center to provide professional HR services, interpret policies, and advise on benefits, leave, payroll, and HR transactions.

The role focuses on resolving issues between HR and Payroll, DHRM, DOA, and on promoting a healing environment by improving customer service delivery within the corrections system.

Qualifications

• Extensive working knowledge of generalist HR functions including leave, payroll, benefits, and workers’ compensation.
• Knowledge of Federal and State HR laws and ability to apply policies.
• Experience using HRIS systems (e.g., Page Up, Cardinal, BES) for data entry and reporting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Provide quality HR services to employees at Beaumont Correctional Center.
• Interpret policies and provide guidance on benefits, leave, payroll and HR transactions.
• Resolve issues between HR and Payroll, DHRM, DOA.
• Promote healing environment and enhance customer service delivery.
