Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the system administrator and SME for HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems, ensuring accurate data and payroll reporting.
  • Lead system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and process improvements for HR systems and interfaces.
  • Design and maintain HR dashboards, metrics, and reports to support decisions across recruitment, retention, comp, compliance, and planning.
  • Analyze complex HR data sets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, Payroll, IT and operations to improve processes, reporting, and data governance.
  • Provide advanced support on HRIS, reporting, and timekeeping; back up payroll processing as needed.
  • Develop documentation, training materials, and governance standards for system use.
  • Monitor updates and compliance to ensure HR tech remains effective and aligned with needs.

About the Role:

The HR Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the human resources department by analyzing workforce data and providing actionable insights to improve organizational effectiveness. This position involves collecting, interpreting, and reporting on HR metrics such as employee turnover, recruitment effectiveness, and compensation trends to guide strategic decision-making. The HR Analyst collaborates closely with HR leadership and other departments to identify patterns and recommend solutions that enhance employee engagement and operational efficiency. By leveraging data analytics and HR systems, the analyst ensures that the organization’s human capital strategies align with business goals. Ultimately, this role helps build a data-driven HR function that supports sustainable growth and a positive workplace culture.

The HR Analyst will serve as the subject matter expert for HRIS systems (ADP – Workforce Now) and related interfaces, ensuring they are fully leveraged to process employee data accurately, effectively, and efficiently. The ideal candidate will lead the organization’s HR analytics efforts, strengthen reporting infrastructure, and drive system optimization initiatives that improve data integrity, compliance, and the employee experience at VNHS.

The HR Analyst will partner closely with HR leadership, Executives, Finance, Payroll, and IT to translate business needs into scalable processes, dashboards, and actionable insights. They will analyze and interpret complex HR data, identify trends and risks, and develop recommendations that support workforce planning, recruitment, retention, compliance, and operational effectiveness. This position also guides HR team members and managers on system capabilities, reporting strategy, and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred
  • 3-5 years of progressive HRIS, HR analytics, or Human Resources experience required, including advanced reporting and data analysis responsibilities
  • Strong experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred. 3-5 years of experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to present data insights clearly to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with advanced analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Python.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and compliance regulations in the United States.
  • Previous experience in a corporate HR analytics or consulting role.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced support and guidance on HRIS, reporting, and timekeeping processes, serving as an escalation point for complex issues and a backup for payroll processing and administration.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, job aids, governance standards, and training materials; train HR team members and managers on system functionality, reporting tools, and process changes.
  • Monitor system updates, industry trends, and compliance requirements to recommend enhancements and ensure HR technology solutions remain effective and aligned with organizational needs.
