Job summary

McAlester Regional Health Center is seeking an HR Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and customer service support to the Human Resources department. You will help with onboarding, maintain employee records, and respond to inquiries in a busy office.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be organized, and able to multitask while maintaining confidentiality. This is a full-time, on-site role based in McAlester, OK.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

About the Role:

The HR Administrative Assistant provides administrative and customer service support to the Human Resources department while helping create a positive experience for employees, applicants, visitors, and leaders. This position requires strong computer skills, excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy office environment. The HR Administrative Assistant will assist with daily HR activities, maintain accurate records, answer questions, respond to emails and phone calls, and support recruiting and onboarding processes. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, professional, comfortable learning new computer systems, and able to manage multiple priorities while providing friendly and helpful customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous administrative, office, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software and systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a busy office environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling employee information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Human Resources or healthcare administrative experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or another HR information system.
  • Experience with data entry, electronic records, and document management.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced office or healthcare environment.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a dependable member of a team.
