Job summary

NYC Department of Social Services is seeking an Administrative Director of Social Services NM-I to manage the HPD packet review team and ensure accurate processing of housing subsidies. The role includes supervising staff, liaising with HPD, HRA, DHS, NYCHA, and shelter providers to move families to permanent housing.

The position emphasizes data-driven reporting, collaboration across agencies, and maintaining safeguards for program participants receiving City FHEPS and related subsidies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and four years of progressively responsible experience in social services or a related field.
• One year of administrative or managerial experience in a large governmental agency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of HPD Packet review team.
• Ensure accuracy of HPD packets and housing subsidies in CARES/HPD systems.
• Supervise staff and coordinate with HPD, HRA, DHS, NYCHA and shelter providers.
• Prepare dashboards and reports for senior/executive staff on placement activities and outcomes.
• Coordinate transportation of clients from shelter to permanent housing and manage related contracts.
