Job summary

AV is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain system-management software for Linux-based HPC environments. The role emphasizes hands-on development, automation, and integration across infrastructure components.

You will work with Python and Rust, containers, CI/CD pipelines, and Ansible, contributing to scalable, secure HPC capabilities in a high-security setting. On-site in Jessup, MD.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
• Advanced degree plus years of software engineering experience in similar scope.
• Proficient with Linux CLI and scripting (Bash/Python).
• Experience building software for Linux HPC environments using Python and Rust.
• Experience with container tech (Docker/Podman/containerd) and Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD (GitLab CI, Jenkins) and Git.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain system-management software for Linux HPC.
• Develop Python and Rust software and automation solutions.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and sustainment of HPC systems.
• Create containerized apps using Docker/Podman/containerd.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automate builds/tests and security checks.
• Collaborate across DevOps, security, and systems teams; troubleshoot.
