Job summary

ContainerPort Group, a World Group company, seeks a dedicated Terminal Manager for our Houston, TX terminal. You will lead the Fleet Manager, Customer Service and Operations teams, serving as the key link between owner-operators and customers.

You will develop new business, expand opportunities with current accounts, coach teams, and uphold a strong safety culture. Strong intermodal and leadership experience required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required; bachelor’s in business/logistics preferred.
• Alignment with ContainerPort Group’s purpose, brand promise and core values.
• 5 years intermodal transportation management experience.
• 3 years managing an owner-operator based fleet.
• Excellent service, leadership, and recruiting skills.
• Strong integrity, initiative and networking skills.
• Solid operations background; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Fleet Manager, Customer Service and Operations team in the terminal.
• Collaborate with recruiting and driver experience on IC acquisition and retention.
• Develop new business and grow opportunities with current customers.
• Build relationships with key account decision makers.
• Coach and facilitate effective communication among teams.
• Uphold Safety Accountabilities and Safety Culture as priority.
• Oversee facility maintenance including safety inspections.
• Perform P&L understanding and analysis (GP/ NOI/ NI).
• Demonstrate servant leadership and mentoring skills.
• Manage Electronic Log and HOS experience; solve problems quickly.
