Job summary

ContainerPort Group, a World Group company, seeks a Terminal Manager for our Houston terminal to lead fleet, customer service and operations. You will build relations with owner-operators and customers, align with safety culture, and drive continuous improvement across the terminal.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in intermodal transportation management, 3+ years leading an owner-operator fleet, and a business or logistics background. Competitive compensation offered.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required; Bachelor’s in Business, Logistics or related field preferred.
• 5 years intermodal transportation management experience.
• 3 years managing an owner-operator based fleet.
• Strong leadership, service, and owner-operator recruiting skills.
• High integrity, initiative and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Fleet Manager, Customer Service and Operations team at the terminal.
• Collaborate with recruiting and driver experience teams on IC acquisition and retention.
• Develop new business and grow opportunities with current customers.
• Coach and foster teamwork among customer service, fleet and operations.
• Uphold safety culture and perform safety inspections.
• Oversee P&L and GP/ NOI analysis; manage equipment and facilities.
• Demonstrate problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
