Job summary

UFCU is expanding its mortgage team in the Houston market, including Pearland, to support homeownership for Members through proactive outreach and community engagement. The Mortgage Loan Officer will self-source, nurture REALTOR®, builder, and community partner relationships, and guide Members through Conventional, FHA, VA, and portfolio loan options.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of recent residential mortgage loan origination.
Valid NMLS registration and compliance with SAFE Act requirements.
Strong knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, and portfolio loan options.
Ability to self-source and build relationships with REALTORS®, builders, and community groups.

Responsibilities

Self-source mortgage production through proactive outreach and relationship-building.
Develop and maintain partnerships with REALTORS®, builders, and community organizations.
Represent UFCU at Houston community events, homebuyer workshops, and industry gatherings.
Build UFCU’s mortgage presence in Houston by developing a sustainable pipeline in an emerging market.
Maintain knowledge of mortgage trends, market conditions, and guidelines.
Ensure compliant lending and accurate loan documentation.
