Job summary

UFCU in Texas seeks a Mortgage Loan Officer to drive homeownership growth in the San Antonio area and support expansion into Houston. You will source mortgage opportunities, advise Members, and build a robust referral network with REALTORS, builders, and community partners.

You will deliver a member-centric homebuying experience, stay current on mortgage guidelines, and collaborate with branches to grow UFCU’s Texas mortgage presence. Relationship-building and compliance are essential.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of residential mortgage loan origination.
Proven success originating Conventional, FHA, VA, and portfolio loans.
Bondable and compliant with SAFE Act requirements.
Strong knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines and processes.

Responsibilities

Self-source mortgage production and develop relationships with REALTORS, builders, and community organizations.
Represent UFCU at Houston events, homebuyer workshops, and industry gatherings.
Develop and maintain a sustainable pipeline in the Houston market.
Assist Members and non-members with education, guidance, and loan recommendations.
Utilize CRM to track all phases of the loan process from start to close.
