Job summary

UFCU seeks a Mortgage Loan Officer to help Members achieve homeownership through personalized guidance in the Houston market, including Pearland. This relationship-driven role emphasizes self-sourcing, community engagement, and building a sustainable book of business across UFCU branches.

You will work with REALTORS®, builders, and organizations to deliver a world-class, member-focused lending experience while guiding applicants through Conventional, FHA, VA, and portfolio loan options.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of residential mortgage loan origination.
• Proven success originating Conventional, FHA, VA, and portfolio loans.
• Valid NMLS registration and compliance with SAFE Act requirements.
• Strong understanding of mortgage lending guidelines and borrower qualification.

Responsibilities

• Self-source mortgage production through proactive outreach and relationship-building.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with REALTORS®, builders, and community organizations.
• Represent UFCU at Houston community events, homebuyer workshops, and industry gatherings.
• Build UFCU’s mortgage presence in Houston with a sustainable pipeline in an emerging market.
• Partner with branch teams to identify financing opportunities for Members and non-members.
