Job summary

Bechtel Global Corporation seeks an experienced EHS Supervisor for the Lilly Houston Project in Houston, TX. You will supervise safety personnel, integrate health and safety requirements into planning, and provide technical support across Engineering, Construction, and Operations to ensure compliance with Bechtel standards.

You will coordinate with EHS management on significant issues, develop training, and drive continual improvement in safety performance on site.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in occupational safety or health and 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
Ability to research and comprehend regulatory requirements.
Excellent oral and written communication.
Analytical skills for sampling, monitoring, and recordkeeping.
Willingness to work outdoors in a field environment.
Ability to support multiple work shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

Supervises a component of a safety program, including technical and administrative aspects.
Supervises assigned safety personnel and provides guidance on their activities.
Provides technical support within EHS teams and to other functions regarding EHS program execution.
Ensures safety and health requirements are integrated in planning documents and plans.
Prepares Safety and Health Management Plans and training programs in compliance with Bechtel standards.
Uses risk assessment and Bechtel's EHS Management System to drive continual improvement.
Coordinates with EHS Management on significant issues and support.
Leads meetings with customers, team members, and contractors to discuss safety requirements.
