Job summary

DAC, Inc. is seeking a General Manager in Houston to oversee application, design, promotion, installation, verification and service of all company products and services.

The role includes developing new products and services in the Houston area and marketing turnkey packages to building owners, developers, architects and engineers. The GM will work with the President on annual profit plans and employee development while aiming to meet bookings, revenue and customer satisfaction targets.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of management experience in engineering, installation and service fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required; MBA preferred is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of building technology systems and project management principles.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for application, design, promotion, installation, verification and service of all company products and services.
• Develop and administer new products and services in the Houston area.
• Market to building owners, developers, architects and engineers of turnkey packages, including feasibility studies and/ or justification, project engineering, implementation and construction management, maintenance and financing.
• Work with the President on annual profit, operating/strategic plans and employee career development for the branch and departments.
• Meet or exceed bookings, revenue, earnings and customer satisfaction objectives per the profit plan.
• Forecast and coordinate material, manpower and cash requirements.
• Monitor bookings versus forecast for the branch and departments.
• Establish branch organizational structure and adjust as needed.
• Ensure recruitment and retention of employees to meet objectives.
• Set quarterly corporate goals and communicate to management.
• Develop innovations to reduce costs, improve products and enhance safety.
• Pursue profit margins for projects and ensure accurate estimating.
• Approve and initial all new contracts with terms and costs aligned with company expectations.
