Job summary

Withum is seeking an Audit Supervisor based in Houston, TX to lead engagements from planning to completion, overseeing staff and building strong client relationships while delivering world‑class assurance services.

You will review budgets, mentor juniors, and collaborate with partners to resolve accounting issues while ensuring compliance with US GAAP; this hybrid role offers a competitive compensation package and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a CPA license or be pursuing CPA certification.
• At least 3 years of public accounting experience leading engagements.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills with US GAAP familiarity.
• Strong client service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and projects.
• Travel up to required locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement team on planning and executing audit, review, or compilation engagements.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the audit engagement from staffing to financial reporting.
• Provide supervision and guidance to staff and promote communication with the engagement partner.
• Collaborate on client issue resolution and advise on regulatory and accounting issues.
• Manage multiple engagements with various teams to meet deadlines.
• Create and track engagement budgets and discuss evaluations with the team.
• Serve in professional development programs as instructor or discussion leader.
