Job summary

B&G Manufacturing in Houston, TX seeks an experienced Distributor Sales Lead to own sales activities in an assigned territory and mentor Regional Sales Representatives. You will build distributor relationships and drive growth in the commercial fastener sector.

The role requires strong negotiation, customer service excellence, and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. ISO familiarity and second language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of inside sales or customer service experience, preferably in the commercial fastener industry.
• Strong negotiation and time-management skills.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow sales within an assigned territory.
• Develop strong relationships with distributors and key customers.
• Maintain an understanding of the territory, market potential, market share, and competitive landscape.
• Monitor competitors, including market share, strengths, pricing, and strategies.
• Develop pricing, inventory, freight, and promotions strategies to increase market share.
• Identify opportunities for new business and growth within existing accounts.
• Provide sales forecasts and information to support future demand.
• Provide timely responses to customers regarding B&G products and capabilities.
• Utilize SAP, Excel, and other sales tools to analyze information and support decisions.
• Provide training and guidance to Regional Sales Representatives.
• Collaborate with customers, sales reps, operations and other departments.
