Job summary

Community of Hope seeks a temporary Housing Stability Case Manager in Washington, DC. You will support families in securing and maintaining housing and increasing self-sufficiency through income, benefits, and education. The role is hybrid and ends April 30, 2027.

Responsibilities include developing goal plans, coordinating with housing resources, and advocating with landlords. Strong communication and two years in housing services are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college required.
• Minimum two years in housing/homelessness or social services.
• Two years of experience in housing/homelessness or social services field.
• Strong knowledge of community resources or ability to learn quickly.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; strong written and verbal communication.
• Proven ability to submit timely, detailed case notes.

Responsibilities

• Develop measurable, action-oriented goal plans for families and update them per guidelines.
• Meet with families to support plan implementation and follow up per contract requirements.
• Network with community resources, make referrals, and track participation in services.
• Assist housing search with Housing Specialist; accompany to view units and advocate with landlords.
• Conduct home visits and provide tenant education per guidelines.
• Maintain regular client communication and document progressive engagement efforts.
• Work within a housing-first, client-centered framework with strengths-based services.
