Job summary

Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada, Inc. is hiring a full-time Housing Specialist at the Mather Community Campus.

You will assist residents in securing and maintaining housing, assess their needs, and collaborate with case managers to ensure safe and stable living environments. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, plus two years of human services experience; valid CA driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; two years of human services experience or equivalent.
• Experience with low-income housing resources preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in obtaining and maintaining housing; assess needs and ensure safety for residents.
• Develop contracts with residents for payment of fees and coordinate with landlords.
• Coordinate with Case Managers and other VOA programs to support residents.
