Job summary

Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency is seeking a Site Assistant to provide direct housing and sheltering support at ARCHES Project sites in Polk and Marion counties. The role includes cleaning, data entry, client navigation to resources, and participation in program operations.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least two years in social services. BLS/First Aid and Food Handler’s Card within 30 days are expected, with background screenings conducted

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of relevant social services experience, including work with children, youth or families, preferred.
• Basic Life Support/First Aid certification required within first 30 days of hire.
• Food Handler’s Card required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides program support such as cleaning, site upkeep, laundry, and supportive services.
• Provides client engagement and assistance, including answering the telephone and monitoring client and facility safety.
• Facilitates access to guest onsite services.
• Applies de‑escalation techniques and makes quick decisions in response to client incidents.
• Provides supportive services for the ARCHES Project.
• Assists with program operations including data entry for clients and follow-up with clients.
• Attends required annual trainings.
• Performs cleaning, janitorial, and laundry tasks to support daily operations.
• Supports kitchen tasks and meals as needed.
• Participates in community outreach to local organizations as directed by supervisor.
• Maintains appropriate boundaries with clients and coworkers at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
