Job summary

Catholic Community Services is hiring for a Program Supervisor role in Washington. The position oversees on‑site coverage, staff training, and direct support to residents in shelter settings, ensuring high quality service delivery.

The role offers full‑time hours, a comprehensive benefits package, and a compensation range of $27.27–$30.34 per hour (DOE). CCS/CHS provides medical, dental, vision, life, disability, HSAs/FSAs, paid time off, a 403(b) plan, and EAP.

Qualifications

• One year of experience working with people experiencing homelessness.
• Experience or knowledge of mental illness and addictions.
• Knowledge and experience with crisis intervention.
• Commitment to the harm reduction program model.
• Ability to work within the mission, goals, and objectives of Catholic Housing Services/Catholic Community Services.
• Ability to commit to developing and safekeeping a workplace that values and supports a culturally diverse work environment.
• Must have a reliable phone or voice mail service at all times in which to be reached.
• Ability to contribute to a work environment that fosters respect, teamwork, and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Direct service to people who are homeless.
• Provide crisis intervention and advocacy to participants.
• Coordinate with other social service agency workers to provide for clients’ immediate needs.
• Model interpersonal and living skills for clients.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable enhanced shelter environment and assist with janitorial tasks as assigned.
• Work as a team with other colleagues on shift and be able to work independently without direct supervision.
• Engage outside professionals when appropriate.
• Register new clients and assess needs and maintain client records.
• Explain and enforce policies and procedures and maintain client counts and floor checks.
