Qualifications

• One year of experience working with people experiencing homelessness.
• Experience or knowledge of mental illness and addictions.
• Knowledge and experience with crisis intervention.
• Commitment to the harm reduction program model.
• Ability to work within CCS/Catholic Housing Services mission and goals.
• Commitment to developing and maintaining a culturally diverse work environment.
• Must have reliable phone or voicemail service at all times.
• Ability to contribute to a respectful, collaborative, high-excellence team.

Responsibilities

• Direct service to people who are homeless.
• Provide crisis intervention and advocacy to participants.
• Coordinate with case managers, social workers, and medical professionals to meet needs.
• Model interpersonal and living skills for clients and maintain a safe shelter environment.
• Handle client intake, assessment, and record-keeping responsibilities.
• Supervise volunteers and manage front desk and building security.
• Attend staff meetings and maintain accurate timesheets.
