Job summary

City of Alexandria seeks a Housing Analyst in the Landlord-Tenant Division of the Office of Housing to plan, develop, and implement housing projects, policies and programs aligned with the Housing Master Plan. You will engage stakeholders, analyze data, and support programs aiding low-to-moderate income residents.

Role requires strong oral and written communication, independence, and teamwork within established policies. Evening/weekend meetings may be required.

Qualifications

• Four Year College Degree and three years of experience in affordable housing, urban studies/planning, public or business administration, community development, or a related field.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receives, investigates, and facilitates resolution of landlord-tenant disputes under housing laws.
• Helps residents and landlords understand rights, responsibilities, and resources.
• Participates in implementation of the Housing 2040 Plan with other divisions.
• Ensures citywide communication and relocation assistance with guidance from the Housing Program Manager.
• Builds relationships with tenants, owners, developers, associations, ARHA, and agencies.
• Works with Project Based Rental Assistance participants on inquiries.
