Job summary

The NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) seeks a Community Coordinator to support the Office of Housing Access and Stability. You will manage the NYC 15/15 rental subsidy contracting process, coordinate with owners, property managers, and HPD divisions, and produce reports and analysis to ensure timely, compliant contract execution.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree and strong written and verbal communication, plus analytical and organizational skills.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree and two years of related community work experience, or equivalent education/experience.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Excellent analytical and interpersonal abilities.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Sec 8 or rental subsidy programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the NYC 15/15 contract management process and related spreadsheets.
Coordinate with HPD units, owners, and property managers on rental assistance contracts.
Process contracts and amendments timely and ensure compliance with city requirements.
Ensure timely collection of required contract components and prepare meeting materials.
Coordinate and support projections under the NYC 15/15 competitive process.
Assist in other project-based program-related tasks as needed.
Report progress to the Director and escalate special situations as needed.
