Job summary

University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Housing Advisor to support Occupancy Management at UT Main Campus. You will handle applications, contracts, and room assignments, while delivering excellent customer service to students and families.

Collaborate with Residence Life and Facilities, assist with online processes, and help supervise student staff. Role requires attention to detail and strong communication within a university setting.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree with 1 year admin experience or HS diploma with 5 years clerical work.
• Preferred: experience in university housing/administrative support.
• Proficiency with MS Office and StarRez is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process housing applications, contracts, and room assignments accurately.
• Provide courteous service to students, families, staff and visitors.
• Maintain occupancy reports and assist with online housing tools.
• Collaborate with Residence Life, Facilities, and other partners.
• Support training and supervision of student desk staff.
• Deliver information sessions and campus tours when needed.
• Respect confidentiality and follow record-retention policies.
