Job summary

The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking a Student Development Specialist I to support day-to-day housing operations and ensure a safe, well‑managed living environment for students. You will assist with communication, event setup, package logistics, and access security, while delivering strong customer service in a busy residential setting.

This live-on role requires a bachelor's degree and a commitment to student development principles, with opportunities for growth within Housing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of student development theory and philosophy.
• Experience with college students or adolescents in advisory/administrative roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technology support for residential facilities and related coordination.
• Coordinate room reservations, space setup, and event logistics for housing programs.
• Support sustainability initiatives within residential facilities.
• Assist with daily operations and administrative tasks for housing operations.
• Conduct housing tours and assist with tour guide coordination as needed.
• Maintain signage, desk operations, and shared building resources.
• Draft and distribute building communications and notifications.
