The University of Georgia is seeking a Housekeeping Director for Rock Eagle 4‑H Center in Georgia. You will lead 20 staff, hire and train personnel, and ensure cabins, buildings and linens meet standards for guest arrivals.
Flexibility to work weekends and long days is required. You will coordinate with Area Coordinators and department heads, manage inventory and equipment purchases, and oversee budgets and meetings. A background check and credentials verification are part of the process.
The individual in this position is responsible for the direction of housekeeping services to all buildings at Rock Eagle 4‑H Center. The individual hires, trains, and supervises regular full‑time employees and part‑time employees in the Housekeeping Department. The individual must have effective communication skills in order to work with other department heads, guests, and employees in the department. The individual manages a department of 20 employees and must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and long days to prepare the 4‑H Center for the arrival of guests. Supervision includes cleaning of guest quarters or cabins, cleaning buildings, providing conference setups, managing laundry, and ordering equipment and supplies.
