Job summary

Milwaukee County Housing Division (DHHS) seeks a Housing Program Assistant - Landlord Engagement to support housing navigation and outreach for individuals experiencing homelessness across Milwaukee County. You will liaise with rent assistance, homeless outreach, and Coordinated Entry to facilitate housing placement and retention.

Qualifications

Knowledge of HUD regulations and program rules.
Ability to read, understand and implement HUD guidelines.
Proficient with a personal computer and standard software.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with rent assistance and outreach teams to identify and place individuals in housing across Milwaukee County.
Conduct housing searches, coordinate showings, assist with applications and gather required documents.
Engage in direct outreach to individuals experiencing homelessness and connect to resources.
Build relationships with landlords and stakeholders to secure units for county programs.
Apply mediation strategies to address landlord concerns and support housing stability.
