Job summary

Insight Housing is seeking a Housing Navigator to provide housing placement, navigation, and case management for individuals in an interim housing program in Berkeley. The role focuses on helping participants achieve stable housing, with weekly meetings, budgeting, and linking to supportive services.

The position requires CPR/First Aid, at least 1 year of related experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school required. Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or related field a plus.
• Ability to CPR/First Aid Training.
• 1 year experience in real estate, property management or housing support, required.
• 1 year experience providing direct support services to individuals experiencing homelessness or related social issues preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS) and HMIS a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing placement, housing navigation, and case management services to homeless individuals in interim housing.
• Meet weekly with participants to set and review housing and budget goals.
• Coordinate with landlords and community resources for housing placements.
• Maintain accurate HMIS/Clarity documentation within 24 hours of service delivery.
